Korla : fail

Ne sachant pas où aller, les autres destinations du Xinjiang étant trop loin/trop chères/trop longues/plus de transport, nous avons misé sur Korla. Ville non indiquée dans les guides etrangers, mais sur l'internet chinois comme "cité majeure du tourisme en Chine" avec de multiples sites intéressant et pas très loin/cher en avion. Manque de pot, les billets avaient doublé en arrivant à l'aéroport mais on s'est envolés quand même... paysage époustouflant encore vu d'avion, désillusion totale en arrivant : nouvelle ville chinoise aux hautes tours et larges boulevards, sans aucun charme...

Wondering where to go next, as other Xinjiang destinations were too far/ too long/ too expensive/ no transport, we beg on Korla. This city is not indicated in foreigner guidebooks, but in Chinese websites as "wonderful major city of China tourism" with a lot of interesting sites and not so expensive/far by plane. Unluckily, flight tickets had double at the airport, but we flew off anyway... wonderful landscape from plane again, complete disappointment landing : new city full of tall building under construction and large streets, without any charm...
